Martin Stuart-Fox
is Emeritus Professor of Asian Studies at the University of Queensland and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities. A correspondent for United Press International in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War, he is the author of six books and many articles on the history, politics, and culture of Laos.
